Jordan R. Dalton
Jordan has worked in the public school system, with clients ranging from, 4-18 years old alongside parents and school personnel. He has an interest in trauma-informed practice, suicidality management, and neurodiverse clients.
Jordan focuses on clients’ strengths, seeing them as resourceful and resilient. A strength based approach allows for open communication that encourages individuals to identify values that assemble their strengths and capacities. This framework allows a person to see themselves at their best – the value they bring by just being themselves. He adopts the biopsychosocial and case formulation models, understanding a client beyond a diagnostic label.

Biography
Jordan is receptive to progressive psychological literature. He has a deep desire for positive change through using altruistic and creative skills. He is an empathic and compassionate Registered Psychologist who emphasises a preventative approach to mental health, learning and behaviour through a holistic perspective - accentuating culturally sensitive practice, inclusiveness for neurodiverse populations, positive psychology, and evidence-based practice. He priorities the therapeutic alliance and the role this plays in positive outcomes. Jordan has delivered professional learning to a range of clients across his life span, including R U OK Day, trauma-informed practice, stress and anxiety management, functional behaviour analysis, positive behavioural support, Dr. Daniel Siegel’s healthy mind platter and psychological first aid.
Jordan is a strong advocate in providing parents, carers, and school personnel with a regular communicative feedback cycle to achieve successful outcomes. Positive psychology philosophy emphasises social responsibility tolerance, work ethic, altruism, and a nurturing and caring attitude towards others. Positive Psychology posits groups that people belong to are a source of pride and self-esteem; groups provide a sense of social identity and belonging. His skills have been cultivated and refined since 2018.
